I am very competitive by nature, and having an identical twin brother with similar interests encouraged that competitive nature while we were growing up. I have always been slightly shorter and a few pounds lighter than my younger identical twin brother, but that changed last year when he learned about the bodybugg program. He was becoming more fit and trim and was less heavy than I was and I had not changed my habits; however, he had. He had learned to use the bodybugg program in early 2006 and had begun to work out with his personal trainer (Ed Sturm), and started learning how to eat healthier. After my brother had spent several months on the bodybugg program, I was being called the "bigger" twin because he had begun to lose his 70+ pounds using the bodybugg program. With my brother's encouragement and my desire to become the smaller twin again, I took my brother's advice to follow in his foot steps and joined Lifestyle Family Fitness. I started training and working out 3 days a week, learned the meaning of portion control, and how to eat the healthy way using the bodybugg program. When I started using bodybugg on October 18, 2006, I was 258.4 pounds, had a 31% body fat percentage, and a waist size of 42.
Ed Sturm, now MY personal trainer - set up a plan for me to work on and I officially began that program on October 23, 2006. I exercised a minimum of 3 days a week, took daily walks, and heeded the advice of my personal trainer. Now, 38 weeks later, I am once again the smaller twin. I have a body now that I have never had, and I will be working to keep it looking that way.
I have lost 60 pounds, have maintained my weight below 200 for the past month and I have a body fat percentage of 17.3, and dropped from a size 42 waist to a 36. I feel better, act more confident, and get more compliments from family, friends, and acquaintances at how much better I look. Thanks, bodybugg, for the great program you have. As I have learned in the last 8 months, if you work the program, the program will work for you!
